Get ready to dash into the action as Pre-Season 5 of Sonic Rumble officially begins. SEGA has launched a new wave of content and competitive features to heat things up, including an all-new Season Pass, updated Rumble Rankings, exclusive Crew Missions, and a celebratory Barbecue Event running through early July.
The Pre-Season 5 Pass lets players earn XP through battles and unlock a wide variety of rewards. These include stylish new Skins, helpful Buddies, Omni Fragments, Rings, and more. For those hungry for competition, the Rumble Rankings return, rewarding top players with Skill Stars and Red Star Rings as they climb the seasonal leaderboard.
The new Season Stamp Card adds another layer of collectibility, allowing players to unlock exclusive Skins and Stickers. Collecting enough Stickers will grant a special name display effect and the coveted Legendary Skill: Combo Strike.
Meanwhile, Crew Score Missions and Clash of the Crews let players team up and take on mission-based challenges. Tackle these together to earn Skill Stars, Tune-Up Wrenches, and other upgrade materials.
New items are also available in the Red Star Ring Shop, including the whimsical Jester Sonic Skin and the perfectly themed Referee Omochao Buddy.
And to top it all off, the Barbecue Event kicks off on June 23, 2025, celebrating Sonic’s birthday in classic Chili Dog style. Running until July 11 (UTC), the event introduces a festive BBQ effect and the debut of the Chili Dog Platter Buddy. Players can complete missions and rack up XP to advance through the Event Pass, earning special materials to enhance their Skins and Buddies.
