Starting Friday, November 15, 2024, Sonic the Hedgehog and friends are speeding into all Topgolf locations across the U.S. and Glasgow to launch Topgolf Sonic the Hedgehog—an exciting new game that combines Topgolf’s fun with Sonic’s high-speed action. This exclusive game will initially be available at Topgolf venues in the U.S. and Glasgow, with plans for a worldwide rollout at additional Toptracer-enabled franchise locations in early 2025.

Get ready! Sonic and friends are coming to all Topgolf U.S. locations starting Friday, November 15, 2024 with the official launch of the new game, Topgolf Sonic the Hedgehog. 

Developed through a collaboration between Topgolf and SEGA®, Topgolf Sonic the Hedgehog marks Sonic’s debut in golf entertainment. Fans of all skill levels can test their swing in iconic virtual environments like Green Hill Zone and Sky Sanctuary. Using Topgolf’s Toptracer technology, players hit targets, collect rings, activate springs, and battle badniks, with popular characters like Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy joining the action and points tallying up on a dynamic leaderboard.

To celebrate, Topgolf is offering an exclusive free play promotion: players can enjoy 30 minutes of free game time with any walk-in reservation by using the code at www.topgolf.com/FREE. This limited-time offer is perfect for fans eager to experience the game firsthand.

A global ad campaign will also launch on November 14, 2024, debuting with a premiere spot on Thursday Night Football. Featuring Sonic joining families and friends in Topgolf bays, the campaign will run across streaming, digital, and social media channels. Produced by Anomaly, Topgolf’s creative agency, alongside Topgolf’s in-house team, the campaign celebrates the joy of play that Sonic and Topgolf both embody.

For fans wanting to take home a piece of the experience, exclusive Topgolf Sonic the Hedgehog merchandise will be available at U.S. and Glasgow locations. The collection includes limited-edition Sonic hats, sweatshirts, and t-shirts (available in adult and youth sizes), each featuring Sonic holding Topgolf’s newest club, “The Sure Thing.”
