Naoto Ohshima just shared a photo containing the storyboards of the awesome opening cutscene from Sonic CD, animated by Toei, a Japanese animation company best known for their animation in Dragon Ball and One Piece. Storyboards are a sequence of drawings, typically with some directions and dialogue, representing the shots planned for a film or television production. Check out the photo below!

Another interesting tidbit is the logo on the bottom left of each page, which is from when the game was still known as CD Sonic The Hedgehog.

What do you think of this awesome piece of Sonic series history? Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to stay tuned to Sonic City for more Sonic CD news and updates!
