SEGA of Japan Hiring Part-Time Planning Assistant for Sonic the Hedgehog Games

A new job listing was posted today by SEGA of Japan on their website detailing a part-time job as a Planning Assistant for the Sonic the Hedgehog games.

The listing reads:

Planning Assistant Wanted for Sonic Series!

Duties and Responsibilities	Sonic the Hedgehog Series ・Writing specification documents. ・Checking results. etc. *Work in Sega’s head office or from home. 　(The ratio of coming to work and working at home varies depending on the project to which you are assigned.) Other ・Even if you have no experience in the games industry, don’t worry, training is provided. ・Depending on your skills and motivation, you may be assigned to a variety of tasks.
Application Requirements	・Interested in game development ・High school graduate or higher, motivated and responsible (no students) ・Able to work for a long period of time (more than 1 year) ・General common sense and communication skills. ・Must be able to work 5 days a week
Preferential Conditions	・Like the Sonic the Hedgehog series of games ・Like Action games ・Like to think about difficulty and game balance
Treatment/Benefits	Part-time job starting hourly wage: 1,200 yen and up ・Hourly wage at start based on work history and application materials ・Salary increase based on ability/performance after service ・All transportation expenses paid (up to a maximum) ・Overtime, late-night, and holiday work allowances available ・Paid vacations, various social insurances (with joining conditions) *There is a trial period of 1-3 months, but the hourly wage and working conditions remain the same. *We also offer a path to contract or permanent employment depending on experience and performance.
