SEGA is giving Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds players another look at Season 2 before its big update arrives! A special livestream is scheduled for November 3 at 8 p.m. JST (11 a.m. UTC), featuring developer commentary, new gameplay and a rematch between Sonic and three World Championship finalists.
Announced by SEGA on October 30, the broadcast will bring together creative director Masaru Kohayakawa, director Shingo Kawakami and race planner Shirakawa to discuss the upcoming update and share stories from its development.
The show will be hosted by Yu Minakami, with World Championship finalists Skia, Cerise and Sadamun joining Sonic for a three-race challenge. SEGA promises a closer look at Season 2’s new content through gameplay demonstrations, just ahead of the major update scheduled for November 4 in Japan.
Fans can watch the broadcast on YouTube or SEGA Japan’s official Twitch channel.
There’s another chance to grab the Live & Learn jukebox tracks, too. Twitch Drops are returning for the broadcast, and the two songs that previously required two hours of viewing during the World Championship Finals can now be unlocked in just one hour.
Watching the official Twitch stream for 30 minutes will earn players 1,000 Donpa Tickets, while 60 minutes unlocks both Live & Learn and Live & Learn [for Final Lap] for the in-game jukebox.

To qualify, viewers must link their Twitch account and game platform to their SEGA Account and watch the eligible Twitch broadcast between 8 p.m. and 9:40 p.m. JST on November 3. Rewards must also be claimed through Twitch’s Drops & Rewards menu.
SEGA is celebrating the broadcast with a separate merchandise giveaway through its Japanese @SonicOfficialJP account on Twitter. Ten winners will receive exclusive Club Chaos anniversary merchandise, including two T-shirt designs, multi-charm keychains, an acrylic key tag and a tote bag accompanied by additional promotional goods.
The campaign runs from November 3 at noon JST until November 10 at 11:59 p.m. JST. To enter, fans must follow the official account, repost the campaign announcement when it appears on November 3 and share a screenshot from the broadcast using #ソニックレーシングCWシーズン2. Screenshots captured from the archived broadcast are also accepted, while those taken during the programme’s designated screenshot segment offer an increased chance of winning.
The presentation follows SEGA’s earlier Year Two roadmap reveal, which introduced Duel Mode, major Gadget changes and another wave of crossover collaborations. SEGA has also included the previously released roadmap trailer alongside its new livestream announcement.
