Season 2 of Sonic Rumble is officially live, bringing a full slate of new features, rewards and competitive challenges for players to dive into. The new season runs from December 17 2025 at 8:00 AM UTC through January 28 2026 at 3:59 AM UTC, giving fans plenty of time to climb the ranks and unlock exclusive content.
At the center of the update is the Season 2 Pass. By earning XP through battles, players can unlock a wide range of rewards including character skins, Buddies, Tune Up Wrenches, Score Badges and more. The system is designed to reward consistent play throughout the season.
Competitive players can test their skills through Rumble Rankings. Each week, players compete within their league by posting high scores and completing missions. Ranking up earns Skill Stars and Red Star Rings. Weekly ranking periods run from Tuesday at 8:00 AM UTC through Monday at 8:00 AM UTC.
Season 2 also introduces a new Season Stamp Card. By collecting Stickers, players can unlock additional skins, Score Badges, a special name display feature and the Legendary Skill Cyclone Dash. Players who already own Cyclone Dash will instead receive Skill Stars as a replacement reward.
Crew based content returns with Crew Score Missions and Clash of the Crews. By working together, crew members can complete shared objectives and earn rewards such as Skill Stars and Tune Up Wrenches while competing on crew leaderboards.
Players should note that seasonal events do not run during season changeover weeks, making timing an important part of progression.
The in game shop has also been updated for Season 2. New skins, Buddies and bundles are now available in the Red Star Ring Shop, including Steampunk Rouge and the Steampunk Chao Buddy. These items will remain available for the duration of the season.
