The collaboration café “SONIC & FRIENDS CAFE” based on SONIC & FRIENDS will be held from tomorrow, January 9 through February 1 at and GALLERY Yurakucho in Tokyo and and GALLERY Nagoya No. 2 in Aichi.

Sonic & Friends is a short animated series featuring SEGA’s mascot character Sonic and his friends. With its cute illustrations and friendly color palette, it’s a highly popular piece of content among children and women.

At this collaboration café, the interior décor will be themed entirely around Sonic & Friends. In addition, limited collaboration menu items will be offered, along with merchandise featuring brand-new, specially drawn illustrations of adorable Sonic characters created just for this event. Ahead of the opening, a media preview event was held today, January 8. Sonic Creative Director Kazuyuki Hoshino was also in attendance at the venue. We bring you a photo report from this preview event.

At the preview event, Director Hoshino himself explained the collaboration food and drinks. He highlighted the collaboration menu items inspired by scenes from the main video, as well as the merchandise featuring newly drawn original illustrations.
