It looks like Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is also getting the Deluxe treatment! The game’s official website now lists a separate Digital Deluxe edition, which includes the base game, a DLC Season Pass, Sonic Prime playable characters, and early access to the game.
True to its CrossWorlds moniker, it seems Sonic Prime characters will join the game via DLC. Whether these characters are exclusive to the Digital Deluxe edition remains unconfirmed, but we expect more details soon. The DLC Season Pass hints at a longer life cycle for the game, potentially outpacing Sonic’s last foray into racing: Team Sonic Racing. Like Sonic X Shadow Generation’s Digital Deluxe edition, this version also grants early access for those eager to play ahead of the official launch. However, the usual extras like a digital artbook or mini soundtrack are notably absent. We’ll have to wait and see if additional details emerge.

Another much-appreciated addition has been confirmed on the game’s Steam Store page: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will support cross-platform multiplayer! This feature allows you to race against friends or strangers online, regardless of platform, ensuring a larger player base for quicker matchmaking. For those preferring local play, the game will also include shared/split-screen multiplayer options.

An official release date, pricing, and details about extra single-player and multiplayer modes remain under wraps. However, we expect announcements in the coming weeks or months as the game gears up for its 2025 launch. Stay tuned to Sonic City for all the latest Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds News and Updates!
look forward to reading more about Sonic Crossworlds.
Why? What is the need for a digital deluxe edition? AGAIN??
I hope there will be an option for Console Only, I don’t want to be forced to play with PC cheaters.
