Today, as part of PlayStation’s State of Play broadcast, SEGA unveiled fresh details about the latest entry in the long-running Sonic Racing franchise, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Featuring characters from both the Sonic the Hedgehog series and the broader SEGA universe, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds introduces a unique racing mechanic designed to transport fans into a whole new dimension of speed and excitement.
Building on the high-speed, arcade-style foundation the series is known for, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds brings back tracks spanning land, air, and sea. It also debuts the groundbreaking Travel Rings feature, which warps competitors to CrossWorlds mid-race—dramatically affecting the action in real time. In addition to this innovative mechanic, players can look forward to the largest character roster in any Sonic Racing title to date, along with extensive customization options that allow you to mix and match vehicle parts, powers, and abilities.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is slated for both digital and physical releases on PlayStation®5 (PS5®), PlayStation®4 (PS4®), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch™, Nintendo Switch™ – OLED Model, Nintendo Switch™ Lite, and PC.
