SEGA and Filipino-American artist Louis De Guzman have announced an exciting new collaboration celebrating the iconic Sonic the Hedgehog. Set to debut in November 2024, this limited-edition collection combines De Guzman’s signature artistic style with the vibrant energy of Sonic and Shadow, offering exclusive apparel, collectibles, and art pieces designed for fans and collectors alike. Drawing on Sonic’s adventurous spirit and Shadow’s fearless confidence, the collection artfully reimagines these beloved characters.

The first release includes a range of apparel and merchandise, featuring t-shirts, a work jacket, fleece sweatshirts, and tops for kids. Adding a retro flair, the collection also includes a tin lunchbox, a printed throw pillow, and for collectors, fine art screen prints and 11.5-inch collectible sculptures. Each piece showcases De Guzman’s unique interpretation, bringing a fresh, modern twist to these classic characters.

Fans can experience the collection firsthand at ComplexCon Las Vegas on November 16 and 17, 2024, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. SEGA and De Guzman will host an interactive exhibit featuring life-sized Sonic sculptures, photo opportunities, and a chance to play the latest game in the franchise, SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS. After ComplexCon, a special retail and gallery pop-up will take place in Chicago from December 10 to 17, 2024, at 3477 S Archer Avenue. This pop-up gives fans a chance to meet De Guzman, view exclusive Sonic-inspired art, and engage with life-sized installations.

Video games shaped my sense of imagination and visual escape. With this collection, I wanted to recreate the feeling of excitement and nostalgia that Sonic fans feel as they explore his world. Sonic’s free spirit and sense of justice encourage friends to be their best—a resilient spirit I hope to reflect in my work,” De Guzman explained. “Shadow, with his confidence and drive, has also been an inspiration. It’s an honor to collaborate with the Sonic Team and share this collection with fans worldwide.”
