The long-awaited NiGHTS collaboration event has officially launched in Sonic Rumble, introducing a wave of themed cosmetics and limited-time rewards to the multiplayer party battler.
Running from February 18 at 8:00 AM UTC through March 16 at 3:59 AM UTC, the event brings new skins and collectibles inspired by NiGHTS into Dreams. An incorrect end time is currently displayed in-game, but SEGA has confirmed that the correct end date is March 16 at 3:59 AM UTC.
Players can unlock the Chrome NiGHTS skin, Alarm Egg buddy, Dreamy Night emote, and In the Night sticker during the event. The standard NiGHTS skin is available through the Premium Pass, while additional rewards can be earned across both the free and paid Event Pass tracks.
The Red Star Ring Shop has also been updated for the crossover. A Metallic Purple NiGHTS skin is now available, along with a bundle featuring the Reala skin and associated skill content. These items are limited to the event period.
Event participation revolves around Event Missions, the Event Pass, and a special Event Raffle system. Players earn XP from battles to progress through pass tiers, while Blue Chips can be collected in Ring Survival, Special Rumble, and through event missions. Blue Chips can then be used to unlock NiGHTS-themed raffle rewards.
The crossover highlights SEGA’s continued collaboration between its core properties, bringing together Sonic and one of Sonic Team’s most iconic legacy titles. Originally released on the Sega Saturn in 1996, NiGHTS into Dreams remains a cult favorite, and its arrival in Sonic Rumble adds another nostalgic layer to the game’s expanding cosmetic lineup.
With exclusive skins, buddies, and event rewards available for a limited time, players have just under a month to dive into the dream world and collect everything on offer.
