SEGA has announced that the official SONIC & FRIENDS Cafe will open on January 9 2026 at “and GALLERY” Yurakucho and the Nagoya No. 2 locations. The cafe is themed around the hit short animated series SONIC & FRIENDS, which features Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles and Doctor Eggman in a lighthearted and globally popular series of animated shorts.
The collaboration cafe will run until February 1 and will offer a full range of limited food items, drinks and exclusive goods based on newly illustrated artwork created specifically for this event. Reservations open on December 11 at 6 PM through the special site, and anyone who reserves in advance will receive a logo acrylic keyholder as a bonus.
The menu includes items inspired by episodes of the animation. Guests can enjoy the Micro Adventure hamburger, the Let’s Watch the Shooting Stars omelette curry, a tropical parfait, five character themed pancake designs and a large shareable donut set. Character drinks inspired by Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles and Shadow will be available with an optional souvenir drink charm. A printed latte with one of five designs can also be ordered.
Collaboration goods will be sold at the venue, including trading can badges, acrylic stands, clear cards, name badges, a clear file and a mini towel. Visitors will also receive novelties that alternate between a first half and second half schedule: postcards for visiting, paper coasters for ordering menu items and die cut stickers for every two thousand five hundred yen spent on goods.
To celebrate the cafe opening, a special campaign will take place at the Bic Camera Yurakucho game and toy section. Fans who purchase 6.000 yen or more in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds or SONIC & FRIENDS merchandise will receive an acrylic stand while supplies last.
The cafe will also include a free play demo corner for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds where fans can try the game during their visit. The online mode will not be accessible, but players can enjoy hands on gameplay.
SEGA has also launched the official SONIC & FRIENDS Instagram account alongside continued TikTok uploads of the short anime. The series has seen strong international popularity, with individual episodes surpassing two million views in their first month.
