SEGA has announced that Sonic & Friends × Sanrio Characters plush and mascots will go on sale early at SEGA STORE TOKYO starting October 31. To celebrate the launch, Sonic the Hedgehog and Hello Kitty will appear in person for a special Halloween-themed greeting event.
The collaboration pairs characters from SEGA’s Sonic & Friends short animation series with beloved Sanrio icons, resulting in an adorable lineup of crossover designs. Fans can purchase the medium-sized plush for 4,950 yen and mascot versions for 2,420 yen ahead of their nationwide release.
Character lineup:
- Sonic × Hello Kitty
- Tails × Cinnamoroll
- Knuckles × Kuromi
- Amy × My Melody
- Shadow × Hangyodon (available nationwide from December 11)
- Dr. Eggman × Pompompurin
Each plush and mascot is suitable for ages six and up, with sizes ranging from approximately 15 cm for mascots to 30 cm for plush.
The event will be held at SEGA STORE TOKYO, located on the 6th floor of Shibuya PARCO. Entry restrictions and timed admission tickets will be distributed between October 31 and November 3 to manage attendance. Further details are available on the store’s official website.
Fans attending on launch day will be able to meet Sonic and Hello Kitty, who will appear in her Halloween outfit for the occasion.
