Sonic Rumble Launches November 5 on iOS, Android, and PC

SEGA has announced that Sonic Rumble, the all-new Sonic the Hedgehog title for iOS, Android, and PC (Steam and Google Play Games), will officially launch on November 5, 2025.

Set in a toy world created by Dr. Eggman, Sonic Rumble lets players control toy versions of fan-favorite characters including Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, and Dr. Eggman across thrilling obstacle courses and competitive arenas. Players can collect skins, animations, and effects to customize their characters, with crossover events already planned featuring SEGA franchises and guest characters.

The game supports cross-play between mobile and PC, allowing players to compete in real time worldwide. The main mode, Ring Survival, challenges players to complete three consecutive stages while collecting as many Rings as possible. Stages include iconic Sonic-inspired locations such as Green Hill and Chemical Plant, featuring more than 75 unique layouts and mechanics.

Each character features special abilities, and players can customize their loadouts using multiple skill slots to match their playstyle. Team-based co-op battles will also appear, giving players the chance to team up and face large-scale enemies together.

To celebrate the upcoming launch, SEGA confirmed that the pre-registration campaign has surpassed 1.4 million sign-ups. All participants will receive in-game rewards including 5,000 Rings, a “Happy Chao” sticker, the “Crystal Chao” buddy, the “Garnet Knuckles” skin, and the exclusive “Movie Sonic” skin from Sonic x Shadow: Tokyo Mission at launch.

A special launch-date celebration campaign is also live on the official Japanese Sonic Rumble X (Twitter) account, offering fans a chance to win up to 10,000 yen in Eraberu Pay gift cards by following and reposting the campaign tweet by October 30.

Sonic Rumble is a free-to-play multiplayer party royale where up to 32 players compete across three rounds to collect the most Rings. With fast-paced, accessible gameplay, it combines Sonic’s signature speed and platforming flair with creative party-game fun.

The game will be available for iOS, Android, and PC (Steam and Google Play Games) with optional in-game purchases.
