Rocket League Season 20 kicks off on September 17, and this time Sonic the Hedgehog is racing onto the pitch. The new Rocket Pass includes Sonic-inspired cosmetics, giving players the chance to show their love for the Blue Blur during matches.

Among the first rewards are the Sonic Sidescroller Player Banner and the Sonic Looper Wheels, both available through the Rocket Pass. Developer Psyonix has also teased that more Sonic content will arrive later in the season, suggesting this is only the beginning of a larger collaboration.
This tease lines up with recent rumors of a full Sonic x Rocket League crossover, which surfaced after leakers spotted a renamed “Gotta Go Fast” channel in Rocket League’s official Discord and hinted at upcoming Sonic vehicle skins.
With the season running until December 3, fans won’t have to wait long to see if Sonic’s Rocket League presence expands beyond banners and wheels. For now, it looks like Rocket League is just the latest live-service giant to partner with SEGA after Fortnite and PUBG Mobile.
