The wait is almost over. SEGA has released a brand-new trailer for SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance, the 2D action platformer launching worldwide on August 29, 2025. Developed in collaboration with Lizardcube, the team behind Streets of Rage 4, the game brings back legendary ninja Joe Musashi in a hand-drawn world filled with fast-paced combat and deadly challenges.

SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam, and Nintendo Switch for $29.99 USD. Players who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition can jump in three days early, ahead of the official launch.
The Digital Deluxe Edition and the SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance Collector’s Edition from Limited Run Games (available until September 7, 2025) also include access to the upcoming SEGA Villains Stage DLC, scheduled for early 2026. This crossover stage will feature iconic SEGA villains, including Dr. Eggman from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, with more adversaries to be revealed.
For those who want to try the game before launch, a free demo featuring an enhanced version of the first stage is available now across all platforms.
With early access already open and the return of one of SEGA’s most iconic action franchises just days away, SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance is ready to mark a bold new chapter for the series.
