Who’s that lurking in the shadows? SEGA has revealed the first DLC stage for SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance, where players will face legendary bosses in the new SEGA Villains Stage.

The first challenger stepping forward against Joe Musashi is none other than Dr. Eggman from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Players who pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition will save 10% and unlock the SEGA Villains Stage when it arrives in early 2026. SEGA confirmed more enemies will be revealed in the coming months.

In addition to the DLC teaser, SEGA has lined up several special events to celebrate the launch of SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance on August 29, 2025.

Young Dirty Bastard x SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance
Wu-Tang Clan legacy meets SEGA as Young Dirty Bastard (YDB), son of Ol’ Dirty Bastard, debuts an original track inspired by SHINOBI. The new single, The Path Just Begun, will release on August 21, 2025, across major streaming platforms. SEGA will also premiere a gameplay trailer on the same day, featuring YDB’s music set against high-intensity footage from the game.

To celebrate further, YDB’s apparel brand Dirty Magic has launched an exclusive SHINOBI clothing line on Amazon. The limited-time collection features t-shirts, hoodies, and more.

SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance Ninja Legacy Challenge
Over the weekend, Speedrun.com launched the Ninja Legacy Challenge in honor of the upcoming release. Competitors can test their skills by speedrunning both SHINOBI III: Return of the Ninja Master (1993) and the newly released demo of SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance.

The free demo, featuring an enhanced version of the game’s first stage, is available now on all major platforms. Fans can submit their times until August 24, 2025, at 11:59 PM UTC / 7:59 PM ET.
