SEGA has announced a new publishing partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Manga Productions for the release of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds in the Middle East and North Africa. Under the agreement, Manga Productions will manage package sales and marketing for the game across the region.

The agreement was officially signed by Manga Productions CEO Essam Bukhari and SEGA President and COO Shuji Utsumi. This marks a significant step in bringing Sonic’s latest high-speed adventure to the fast-growing MENA gaming market.

“We are delighted to deliver the latest entry in the Sonic series to the Middle East and North Africa in partnership with Manga Productions, a leading company in the region,” said Utsumi. “Sonic is a highly popular character among Arab fans, and by working with a local partner for package sales and marketing, we hope to make the game more accessible and enjoyable for players across the region.”

Bukhari shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration: “The gaming market in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East is one of the fastest-growing in the world. It is an honor to publish the latest installment of this long-standing Japanese game series overseas through our agreement with SEGA. We are committed to delivering a high-quality experience to fans across the Middle East and North Africa.”

As part of SEGA’s Racing Around the World campaign, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds features the largest launch roster in series history with 23 racers, plus post-launch additions such as Hatsune Miku, Persona 5’s Joker, Yakuza’s Ichiban Kasuga, Minecraft, and SpongeBob SquarePants. Players can customize vehicles with more than 70 gadgets and race online with up to 12 players across multiple modes.
