To close out 2022, we ran a poll through the month of December, to figure out if our readers were satisfied with the blue blurs outings for the year and the results revealed that out of total 38 votes, 100% of them were satisfied with the what the year offered in terms of blue speediness!

It comes as no surprise as Sonic had a really packed 2022, starting with the premier of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 right at the start of the year and quickly becoming highest grossing video game film in the USA, the release of Sonic Origins in June, although met with mixed reception from long time fans, also managed to hook some old disenfranchised fans back to the series and of course the big release of Sonic Frontiers in November, which managed to bring a fresh new perspective to the Sonic series, selling over 2.5 million units in its first month and becoming the second fastest selling game in the franchise’s history! To cap off the year, Sonic Prime also released to a lot of positive reception on Netflix by long time fans and general audiences alike!

Also we can’t forget to mention the IDW comics and constant release of cool merchandise that released throughout the year!

There’s still more in store for Sonic in 2023, as more Sonic Frontiers DLC has been announced for the whole year, and another batch of Sonic Prime episodes are also scheduled to release, hopefully also during this year!
