TailsTube was announced on 17 March 2022 through the official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account, which described the series as a “fun and informative, Tails-hosted show about all things Sonic” and confirmed that it would debut the following week.[1]Sonic the Hedgehog on Twitter. The second and third episodes were released several months apart in 2022. The third season, titled On the Road, began with TailsTube No. 11 on 27 March 2025. It continued the series with episodes centered on topics such as ancient history, practical advice, Extreme Gear, the Donpa Kingdom, and Chao.

Premise[edit]

In TailsTube, Miles “Tails” Prower hosts an episodic online show where he answers fan questions about the Sonic the Hedgehog series, his world, and the characters who live in it. Episodes are published on the official Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel and do not follow a fixed release schedule.

The format usually presents Tails as the main host, often joined by special guests from the Sonic series. Depending on the episode, the show may focus on franchise lore, character relationships, seasonal celebrations, upcoming media, or specific subjects tied to the wider Sonic world.

Cast[edit]

The first four episodes of TailsTube were released with English and Japanese dubs at the same time. From the fifth episode onward, episodes were initially released only in English. A Japanese compilation covering episodes 5-10 was released on 20 March 2025, while a second compilation covering episodes 11-14 was released on 26 March 2026.
