SEGA has launched the Sports Festival Event in Sonic Rumble Party, officially releasing several skins that first appeared in a September datamine.
Basketballer Blaze, Ice Slicer Jet, Basketballer Vector and Panda Amy are all part of the event and its shop lineup, while Gummy Skin Zavok joins Blaze on the Premium Event Pass.
The Sports Festival runs from October 5 at 8:00 AM UTC through October 23 at 3:59 AM UTC.
The event uses both a free Event Pass and a paid Premium Pass. Players earn XP from battles to progress through the pass, while Event Missions award enhancement materials for Skins and Buddies.
The free pass includes rewards such as the Hovercraft RC Buddy and Basketball Plate background, alongside sports-themed nameplates, icons and other items.
The Premium Pass includes Basketballer Blaze, Gummy Skin Zavok, the Basket Chao Buddy, Basket Trail effect and 30 Red Star Rings.
Two more of the previously datamined skins are available through the Red Star Ring Shop. Ice Slicer Jet and Basketballer Vector are both on sale for the duration of the event, from October 5 through October 23.
Panda Amy is being sold through a separate Panda Amy Skin Pack. The pack also contains the “Lots of LOVE” emote and Amy’s “What a Wonderful Fortune Result” stamp.
Basketballer Blaze, Jet, Vector and Panda Amy were previously shown in a September 26 Sonic Rumble Party datamine. At the time, the files did not establish how the skins would be distributed.
The same datamine also contained Halloween skins for Cream, Shadow and Metal Sonic. Those are not part of SEGA’s Sports Festival announcement and remain unconfirmed for release.
The Sports Festival Event is available now in Sonic Rumble Party and ends October 23 at 3:59 AM UTC.
