IDW Publishing has released its full June 2026 solicitations, offering a closer look at what’s next for the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series.

Leading the lineup is Sonic the Hedgehog #88, written by Evan Stanley and Iasmin Omar Ata, with art by Adam Bryce Thomas and covers by Min Ho Kim, Elizabeth Richards, and Nathalie Fourdraine. The issue throws Sonic and his allies into a dangerous situation on Angel Island as multiple threats unfold at once.

The official synopsis sets the tone:

With a storm raging against Angel Island, Sonic and his friends are in a fight for their lives! Trapped underground and separated from his friends, Sonic finds himself face-to-face with — wait — that’s not Amy?

As something terrifying happens beneath the ground, on the surface, Knuckles and Tails brave the violent storm ripping through Angel Island — although they have their own foe to deal with.

Can our heroes persevere through the chaos and keep everyone safe? Or will these mysterious figures claim another emerald… or even a life?

Sonic the Hedgehog #88 is scheduled for release in June 2026 at $4.99.

Arriving in June and October are Sonic the Hedgehog: On the Go, Vol. 3 and 4, two collected editions featuring work from Ian Flynn, Evan Stanley, and more, with art by Jack Lawrence, Adam Bryce Thomas, Aaron Hammerstrom, and others. Volume 3 is a 328-page volume that compiles issues #21–32 and the 2020 Annual, covering the Metal Virus storyline, where Sonic and the Restoration face a rapidly spreading outbreak that transforms victims into mechanized Zombots.

Now, with the population more infected than not and the virus constantly spreading, Sonic and his friends in the Restoration launch a desperate plan!

Collects issues #21–32 and the 2020 Annual from volumes 6–8 (The Last Minute, All or Nothing, and Out of the Blue) of the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

Dr. Starline is back to his evil antics! But to enact his latest scheme, he’ll have to get into an abandoned Dr. Eggman base and past an army of badniks. And to do that, he’ll need the help of some of Sonic’s greatest enemies! Mimic, Rough, Tumble, and Zavok are back and badder than ever. Then, hold on to your chili dogs, Sonic fans! The Metal Virus is gone, but things aren’t back to normal. Omega is damaged, and his allies turn to Team Sonic for help. The only way to rebuild him is to trade parts with a mysterious champion Chao racer, so it’s off to the races for Cream, Cheese, Amy, and Rouge!

But when Dr. Eggman unleashes his latest attack, Sonic and Tails will have to rely on their friends to help them foil his newest dastardly plan. There’s a new kid on the block! And a new…tower? While Tangle tries to initiate the new recruit, Belle, into the Restoration, Sonic, Tails, and Amy investigate a mysterious structure that has popped up. Turns out it’s a maze of twisting corridors and crazy challenges!
