The final episode of Sonic the Hedgehog Presents: The Chaotix Casefiles is now available, bringing the two-part finale to a close as the Chaotix Detective Agency uncovers the truth behind the Red Specter.
Episode 8, titled “The Case of the Red Specter – Part 2,” picks up as the team finally learns the identity of the shapeshifting thief, leading into a final confrontation to stop the culprit before it is too late.
Listeners have followed the investigation across the series alongside Vector the Crocodile, Charmy Bee, and Espio the Chameleon, as the Chaotix worked through a case filled with disguises, twists, and unexpected turns.
The finale brings together a wide cast from across the Sonic the Hedgehog universe. Returning performances include Roger Craig Smith as Sonic, Mike Pollock as Doctor Eggman, and Keith Silverstein as Vector. The episode also features Miles Prower, Rouge the Bat, and Sage, alongside IDW fan-favorites Tangle the Lemur and Whisper the Wolf.
Additional appearances from Infinite and Gemerl raise the stakes as the story reaches its climax.
The series has seen strong engagement since launch, reaching nearly 2 million downloads and plays in under six weeks. Listener interaction has also been high, with close to 2,000 ratings, more than 1,600 Spotify comments, and around 18,000 comments on YouTube.
Retention has remained especially strong, with near 100 percent completion rates reported across episodes, and the show reaching audiences in over 120 countries.
Produced by SEGA in partnership with Realm, the series was written by Dan Jolley and directed by Ian Jones-Quartey. The soundtrack includes an original score by Charlie Rosen, alongside contributions from the SEGA Sound Team, including Jun Senoue and Tomoya Ohtani.
With the identity of the Red Specter revealed and the case now closed, The Chaotix Casefiles wraps up as one of the most ambitious narrative podcast projects in the Sonic franchise to date.
