The development team behind Sonic Rumble has published a new letter outlining upcoming changes designed to improve the player experience, including permanent pricing adjustments, expanded reward opportunities, and a crossover event.

In the message to players, the team thanked the community for its continued support and feedback since launch, noting that player input has directly influenced several of the upcoming updates.

One of the most immediate changes affects Legendary Skin pricing. Beginning February 18, all newly added Legendary Skins will be permanently priced at 599 Red Star Rings. Existing limited-time Legendary Skins will remain at their current price, but all older Legendary Skins released prior to February 18 will be reduced to 599 Red Star Rings starting March 3, aligning with the launch of the next Season.

Alongside the pricing update, the team confirmed that players will be able to earn more free Red Star Rings per season. Additional ways to obtain Skin Fragments and Omni Fragments are also being introduced, making cosmetic items more accessible through regular gameplay rather than purchases alone.

The developers also addressed long-term content availability. Items initially distributed through specific channels, such as Premium Season Pass rewards, will later become obtainable through Red Star Rings or fragment systems. According to the team, this structure is expected to become standard practice moving forward, excluding certain limited-time crossover collaborations.

A major gameplay update is planned for March and will introduce broader improvements to gameplay modes, accessibility features, and user interface elements. More detailed information about those changes will be shared closer to release.

In addition, the team announced a crossover event with NiGHTS into Dreams, set to launch February 18 alongside the new Legendary Skin pricing structure. While specific crossover content has not yet been revealed, further details are expected later this week.

With these changes, the Sonic Rumble team appears focused on refining progression systems, improving accessibility, and strengthening long-term player engagement as the game continues to evolve.
