SEGA has officially launched a limited time Godzilla crossover event in Sonic Rumble, bringing the King of Monsters and several iconic Kaiju straight into the chaos. The event runs from December 22, 2025 at 8:00 AM UTC through January 21, 2026 at 7:59 AM UTC, giving players a full month to earn exclusive crossover rewards.
During the event, players can unlock a wide range of Godzilla themed content, including Godzilla skins, the Fire Rodan buddy, the Roar emote and Kaiju Footprints animations. Players with a Premium Pass can go even further by unlocking the King Ghidorah skin. Rewards can be earned through the Event Pass, Event Missions and the Godzilla crossover raffle.
Progression is tied directly to gameplay. Players earn XP through battles to advance the Event Pass, while Chemical Containers can be collected by playing Ring Survival, Special Rumble or completing Event Missions. These containers are then used in the event raffle to obtain additional rewards.
The Red Star Ring Shop has also been updated alongside the crossover. Limited time bundles include a Mechagodzilla skin paired with the Absolute Zero skill and a Destoroyah skin paired with the Variable Slicer skill. Red Star Ring bundles are currently discounted, making this an ideal time to pick them up.
In addition to the in game content, a Twitch Drops campaign is live throughout the event period. By watching streams featuring Sonic Rumble on Twitch, players can earn bonus rewards. Watching for 15 minutes grants Rings, 30 minutes rewards Tune Up Wrenches, 60 minutes unlocks Free Red Star Rings and watching for 120 minutes earns an exclusive Mothra sticker.
The clock is ticking, so lace up those shoes and show the King of Monsters what real speed looks like.
