Sonic Rumble is marking a major milestone for the franchise with a special in game celebration dedicated to the twentieth anniversary of the Shadow the Hedgehog video game. The anniversary event begins on November 21 and continues until December 12, giving players several weeks to earn a full lineup of Shadow themed rewards.
The event features a variety of cosmetics inspired by the 2005 title, including the new Shadow Balloon buddy, the Tire Tracks visual effect, the Shadow the Hedgehog Plate nameplate, and a selection of icons and stickers. All event rewards are tied to Event Pass progression and mission completion, allowing players to unlock items by playing battles and completing event objectives.
Players can level up their Event Pass by collecting XP in battles, while event missions award enhancement materials that can be used to upgrade skins and buddies. Alongside the anniversary content, the Ring Shop is receiving an update that introduces the Motorsport Shadow skin, which will be available for a limited time.
The scheduled event update runs from November 21 through December 26, which includes the extended availability period for Motorsport Shadow and the Mini ARK.
