SEGA has officially announced that Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will launch digitally on Thursday, December 4, 2025, with a physical release scheduled for early 2026. Players on Nintendo’s next-generation console can look forward to racing through tracks inspired by iconic worlds across the Sonic the Hedgehog universe in this enhanced version of SEGA’s hit racer.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will be priced at $69.99 USD for the digital version. For those who already own Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds on Nintendo Switch, Switch OLED Model, or Switch Lite, SEGA will offer a $10.00 USD paid Upgrade Pack that enables both content and save data transfer to the new console.

As a launch bonus, SEGA is running an introductory discount on the Upgrade Pack from December 3 at 5:00 PM PT through December 10 at 5:00 PM PT, lowering the price to $5.00 USD during the promotional period.

The physical edition of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will include the complete base game on cartridge and is planned to hit store shelves in early 2026.
