SEGA has officially announced that Sonic Rumble, the first-ever multiplayer party game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, will launch this November. Alongside the announcement, a brand-new gameplay trailer has been released, giving fans another look at the game’s fast-paced, competitive action.

Watch the gameplay trailer below:

Over the past several months, SEGA has refined Sonic Rumble based on player feedback from early test phases, introducing major improvements to gameplay, progression, and overall user experience. The development team shared that the additional development time was used to ensure the game truly lives up to Sonic’s name, delivering a smooth, intense, and endlessly fun experience from day one.

Players can now use signature Sonic-style abilities to block or disrupt opponents during matches and can join Crews with friends to compete in limited-time events and earn bonus rewards. SEGA has also added new stages and game modes to keep the arcade royale experience fresh and unpredictable.

The onboarding process has been completely overhauled to help new players jump into the action faster, while the user interface has been redesigned to bring missions, achievements, and progression into one easy-to-navigate hub.

Progression and rewards have also been refined so every unlock feels meaningful. The shop and ranking systems have been rebalanced to provide fairer and more exciting rewards, with simplified achievements that make each accomplishment feel worth celebrating.

These updates mark a major step forward in SEGA’s efforts to create a Sonic multiplayer experience built for longevity and community engagement. Players can expect even more post-launch content and ongoing improvements after release.

Fans can pre-register for Sonic Rumble here and join the official Discord server to share feedback directly with the developers.
