The Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Open Network Test has wrapped up, but SEGA isn’t leaving fans waiting until launch day. The company has confirmed that a brand-new single-player demo will be released in mid-September.

“The Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Open Network Test has officially ended! Thank you everyone for participating,” SEGA announced on social media. “A single-player demo will be released in mid-September!”

Although exact platforms haven’t been revealed, it is expected the demo will be available on the same systems that hosted the Open Network Test, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and Epic Games, and Nintendo Switch. A native Nintendo Switch 2 version has not been confirmed.

Unlike the online test, the upcoming demo will focus entirely on offline single-player gameplay. The network test included one Grand Prix that could also be played solo, but we’re hoping SEGA may expand the demo with additional tracks.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds launches worldwide on September 25, 2025.
