The stakes have never been higher, and the chaos has never been emerald-ier. With the Justice League missing in action and the fate of two worlds hanging in the balance, Team Sonic is suiting up and stepping in.

Issue #3 of DC x Sonic the Hedgehog is out now, and the crossover event continues to deliver some of the wildest comic moments Sonic fans have ever seen. After the explosive events of the previous issue, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, and Silver regroup with Mr. Terrific at the Justice League’s Watchtower. The situation is grim—both the Justice League and Team Sonic’s home dimension are gone. But if there’s one thing Team Sonic doesn’t do, it’s give up.

Now stranded in the DC Universe, our heroes do the only thing they can: take up the mantles of the missing Justice League members and continue their fight against evil.

  • Silver becomes a Green Lantern, teaming up with Tomar-Re, Ch’p, and Kilowog to bring down Sinestro in space and retrieve a yellow Chaos Emerald from his power battery.
  • Amy takes up Wonder Woman’s role, fighting alongside Hawkgirl and Supergirl to stop Gorilla Grodd.
  • Knuckles fills Superman’s boots, confronting Lex Luthor in a clash of strength and resolve.
  • Shadow becomes the “Shadow of the Bat,” going toe-to-toe with the Joker in Gotham.
  • Sonic becomes the Flash, sprinting through Central City and battling Reverse-Flash in a blur of speed.
  • Tails syncs with Cyborg tech, coordinating the team and piecing together a strategy to bring their world back.

Each battle recovers a missing Chaos Emerald, and by the time the team regroups at the Hall of Justice—with help from Beast Boy—they’ve recovered six of the seven emeralds. Tails believes the final Chaos Emerald, along with the Justice League themselves, is trapped in a pocket dimension.

Shadow warns that trying to reach it could bring Darkseid back with them. Knuckles reminds everyone that the Justice League would never leave them behind. With a unanimous decision, Team Sonic chooses to dive into the unknown.

With Team Sonic now fully suited up and leading the charge, DC x Sonic the Hedgehog isn’t just a crossover anymore—it’s a full takeover.

DC x Sonic the Hedgehog #3 is available now wherever comics are sold. Let us know which hero-hedgehog pairing is your favorite, and stay tuned to Sonic City for full coverage of this historic team-up.
