Sonic the Hedgehog 3 opened to a triumphant $60 million domestically, easily claiming the top spot at the box office over Mufasa: The Lion King. While Mufasa gained traction in subsequent weeks, Sonic held its ground, outperforming other major releases like Moana 2. The movie’s introduction of Keanu Reeves as Shadow the Hedgehog proved to be a major draw for audiences.
