While there is no official Dragon Ball racing game currently announced, one fan has recreated the concept inside Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.
A newly released mod titled Kid Goku Over AiAi (+ Dragon Ball Festival) replaces AiAi with Kid Goku, transforming the recently added Super Monkey Ball crossover content into a Dragon Ball-inspired racing experience.

The mod goes well beyond a simple character swap. Kid Goku rides the Flying Nimbus instead of a traditional vehicle and features voice clips sourced from the anime and multiple Dragon Ball games. During invincibility, he performs the Afterimage Technique, adding another layer of authenticity. The character model is ported from Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, with refinements including updated UI renders, animation adjustments, and audio enhancements in recent revisions.

The in-game festival theme has also been fully redesigned. The Super Monkey Ball Festival is replaced with a Dragon Ball Festival aesthetic, featuring custom decals inspired by Capsule Corp, the Red Ribbon Army, and the Dragon Balls. Players can swap the horn sound to the Dragon Radar ping, and several music tracks have been replaced with instrumental versions of “Makafushigi Adventure” and other Dragon Ball themes.

Additional content included in the package features alternate outfits and shading styles, Kid Goku UI elements, emote stamps, and customization files compatible with Bluestar Manager.

CrossWorlds has already developed a reputation for its broad crossover appeal, with official additions spanning multiple SEGA properties and guest characters. With the game’s flexible structure and mod-friendly community, it has become a natural platform for creative projects like this.
Although the Dragon Ball crossover remains unofficial, the mod demonstrates how adaptable Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has become within the fan community. For players curious about what a Dragon Ball kart-style racer might look like, this project delivers a detailed and fully realized interpretation.
