Sonic Channel Shares January 2026 Commemorative Illustration for Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) 20th Anniversary

2026’s first commemorative illustration from Sonic Channel is here. This time, it’s celebrating the release of Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), which marks its 20th anniversary this year. The illustration features Princess Elise, the current sovereign of Soleanna, carrying a torch to light the Altar of Light located in Soleanna’s central location to pay tribute to Solaris, their patron deity and god of the sun, as seen in the game’s opening cutscene.
