SEGA has launched a limited time value bundle in Japan that pairs Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds with the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, offering fans a new way to jump into Sonic’s latest high-speed racer.
Released to celebrate the PlayStation 5’s fifth anniversary, the promotion bundles the Japanese-language PS5 Digital Edition with a digital copy of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. A second bundle option is also available featuring Metaphor: ReFantazio, giving buyers a choice between two acclaimed SEGA-published titles.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is developed by SEGA’s elite racing team and delivers a constantly shifting race experience across land, sea, and air. Tracks evolve every lap, creating unpredictable moments that reward quick reactions and adaptability. The game features the largest roster in the series to date with 23 racers, alongside an expanding lineup of downloadable crossover characters that includes Hatsune Miku, Joker, Ichiban Kasuga, SpongeBob SquarePants, Pac-Man, Mega Man, and more.
Customization is a major focus thanks to the gadget system, which allows players to equip special abilities that can dramatically change racing strategies. With more than 70 gadgets available, players can experiment with a wide range of builds. Online play supports cross-platform multiplayer, including World Match for up to 12 players, team-based Festival battles, and competitive Time Trials.
The PS5 Digital Edition bundle is available through select Japanese retailers and online stores such as Amazon Japan, Yodobashi Camera, Rakuten Books, Joshin, Bic Camera locations, and participating TSUTAYA stores. Pricing, availability, and sales periods vary by retailer, and quantities are limited.
