Sonic Rumble has hit a major milestone, officially surpassing 15 million players worldwide across mobile and PC. To celebrate, the development team has launched a special in-game event and shared new details on upcoming quality of life improvements based on player feedback.
The 15M Rumbler Milestone Mission is now live and will run from November 18 to December 17. By taking part in the event, players can earn Skill Stars, Tune Up Wrenches, and a total of 300 Red Star Rings, along with additional rewards throughout the mission period.
In a message to the community, the developers reaffirmed their commitment to improving Sonic Rumble and highlighted several areas currently being refined. These include making Skins, Red Star Rings, and other items easier to obtain through normal gameplay, ensuring the Shop feels more attainable, and improving the UI and tutorial to give players clearer information on how scoring and rewards work.
The team also addressed confusion around Red Star Rings and reminded players that there are several ways to earn them in game through Stage Challenges, Achievements, Emblem Ranks, and Rumble Rankings. They acknowledged that this was not clearly communicated at launch and plan to make this information much easier to find.
Another point of clarification focused on concerns that paid items are required to win matches. The team explained that purchases do not affect the number of Rings collected during gameplay, and therefore do not influence match results. Bonuses from subscriptions or upgrades only affect post match rewards, not competitive performance. Future updates will revise the tutorial and Results screen to avoid this misunderstanding moving forward.
With the milestone celebration underway and a clear list of improvements in development, the Sonic Rumble team is encouraging players to continue sharing feedback as the game evolves.
