During Sony’s State of Play Japan, SEGA revealed a new trailer for upcoming Season Pass content in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, showcasing several major collaborations arriving over the coming months. Players can look forward to racing as iconic characters from SEGA’s history and beyond, including SpongeBob SquarePants, NiGHTS, AiAi from Super Monkey Ball, and Tangle and Whisper from IDW’s Sonic the Hedgehog comic series.

The first crossover event begins next week, introducing SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star as playable racers alongside a new Bikini Bottom-themed course.

In Japan, SEGA confirmed that the NiGHTS, Super Monkey Ball, and Sonic the Hedgehog (IDW) collaborations will be distributed through free updates, making them available to all players on every platform. Additional crossover content such as music tracks, stickers, and influencer tie-ins featuring Crazy Raccoon, Inugami Korone, and Rejekun will also be released in future updates.

To celebrate the announcement, SEGA launched its first Black Friday sale for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, offering 30% off the Digital Deluxe Edition on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game and all upcoming Season Pass content, giving new players the full experience at a reduced price.

A free demo is also available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games, featuring Grand Prix and Time Trial modes with full customization options. Save data from the demo can be transferred to the full game.
