Ready, set, rumble! The wait is finally over as Sonic Rumble launches worldwide on iOS, Android, and Steam, marking the global debut of SEGA’s all-new multiplayer arcade royale. Players can now race as Sonic and friends through fast-paced obstacle courses where up to 32 players compete for victory.
In Sonic Rumble, players collect Rings, dodge hazards, and use unique skills to outlast their rivals across a series of quick and colorful challenges. With vibrant visuals, deep customization, and real-time multiplayer battles, it’s a fresh new way to experience Sonic’s signature speed and personality in a competitive arena setting.
To celebrate the worldwide release, SEGA has packed the launch window with a series of special events and updates, including the Halloween 2025 Event, the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Crossover, and the start of Season 1.
The Halloween 2025 Event runs from October 10, 2025, 8:00 AM to November 14, 2025, 7:59 AM (UTC) and introduces festive skins, buddies, and effects to mark the spooky season. Players can earn the Halloween Candies effect, Halloween 2025 icon, and Smokey Buddy by completing missions and progressing through the Event Pass. Featured items in the Red Star Ring Shop include Mummy Knuckles, Witch Rouge, Halloween Sonic, and Magician Chao. Halloween-themed items will remain available until November 28, 2025, 7:59 AM (UTC).
The Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Crossover Event runs from November 5, 2025, 8:00 AM to December 5, 2025, 7:59 AM (UTC) and brings movie-inspired content and rewards, including new skins like Neon Suit Sonic, Neon Suit Shadow, Custom Neon Metal Sonic, and Neon Suit Silver.
Players can earn Shadow Coins in Ring Survival and Special Rumble modes to exchange for event rewards, while new stickers and themed items will be available in the Red Star Ring Shop from November 4 to December 19, 2025.
Season 1 of Sonic Rumble is also now live, introducing the Season Pass, Rumble Rankings, and new missions. Players can earn Skins, Buddies, Tune-Up Wrenches, and Score Badges, while Premium Pass+ buyers receive added bonuses, including 200 Paid Red Star Rings.
Event scheduling has been adjusted, with Squads now held from Monday to Thursday, Special Rumble biweekly from Monday to Thursday, and Co-op Battles running weekly from Thursday to Monday. The Red Star Ring Shop has been updated with new limited-time items, including the Excalibur Sonic Skin and Excalibur Sonic Chao Buddy.
With Sonic Rumble’s worldwide launch, SEGA is kicking off a new era for multiplayer Sonic experiences. Between seasonal events, cinematic crossovers, and high-speed competition, fans have more ways than ever to jump into the action and race toward victory.
