Sonic Rumble Ver. 1.3.0 Major Update Arrives August 29 With New Stages, Rouge’s Treasure Hoard, and Balance Changes

SEGA has announced that the Ver. 1.3.0 major update for Sonic Rumble will release on August 29, 2025, introducing new content, features, and balance changes to the mobile battle game. Maintenance is scheduled from 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM UTC, with the update going live immediately after on iOS, Android, and Google Play Games.

New Stages
Three new courses will be added:

• Pinball Carnival Run 2
• Desert Ruins Survival
• Green Hill Ring Battle 2

Skills Improvements
The Skills system will receive a major update, including:

• A Skill Try-Out function
• Sorting tools for acquired Skills
• An updated UI for easier use

Rouge’s Treasure Hoard (Updated 8/26)
Rouge’s brand-new limited-time feature, Treasure Hoard, allows players to save their Score Rank and unlock exclusive rewards.

UI and Missions
Missions and achievements will now be consolidated into one page on the Home screen, simplifying progress tracking and reward collection.

Balance Adjustments

• Starter Shop: Updated lineup. Legacy cosmetics like the Unwind Emote, OK (Tails) Sticker, Cheerleader Rouge fragments, and animations (Mission Complete, Rodeo, Jump, Warm-Up 5) will be distributed to all pre-update players.
• Achievements: Some will be removed or adjusted. Rewards updated, with items such as Eggman M.D. fragments and Server Silver fragments distributed to early accounts.
• Welcome Gifts: Updated. Legacy items including Shadow Skin, Buddy Chao, Happy (Amy) Sticker, Headbanging Emote, and Golden Streak Effect will be distributed to early accounts.
• Score Ranks: New SS and SSS ranks added with new rewards.
• Stage Point, Emblem Rank, and Score Rank Rewards: Adjusted across multiple tiers.
• Skill Shop Price Changes:
  • Amy: Hammer Attack → 1000 → 200 Skill Stars
  • Cream: Take Flight → 200 → 1500 Skill Stars
  • Jet: EX Gear Flip → 1000 → 1500 Skill Stars
  • Metal Sonic: Overheat → 1000 → 1500 Skill Stars
• Skin/Buddy Enhancement: Adjustments to Tune-Up Wrench and Ring costs, with higher Score Bonuses for certain cosmetics.

Additional Features

• SS and SSS Score Ranks added
• New tutorial stage for new players
• Resolution adjustment option
• Increased Score Booster capacity (9 → 99)
• Expanded Score Booster purchases in RSR Shop (6 → 10)

Event Schedule Changes
Following the update, event rotations will change:

• Co-op Battles: Every other weekend (next: Sept. 12–15)
• Special Rumble: Every weekday (next: Sept. 15–19)
• Squads: Every other weekend (next: Sept. 19–22)

With new stages, Rouge’s Treasure Hoard, and a wide range of shop and reward adjustments, Sonic Rumble Ver. 1.3.0 is shaping up to be one of the game’s biggest updates yet.
