SEGA is set to make a big impact at Gamescom 2025 with Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, the brand-new racing adventure starring Sonic the Hedgehog and friends. Visitors attending the event in Cologne from August 20 to 24 will have the chance to play the game for themselves at SEGA’s booth in Hall 7.
Fans can race across land, sea, air, and even outer space at one of the 44 two-player stations or experience the action on four immersive stage setups. These stations are powered by Samsung Display’s latest technology, including the Alienware AW3225QF, the world’s first 4K QD-OLED gaming monitor with a 240 Hz refresh rate, alongside high-end displays from Dell and MSI for the ultimate console and PC racing experience.
Beyond gameplay, SEGA has lined up a packed program of Sonic-themed activities throughout the week. Highlights include:
- Daily appearances and autograph sessions with Sonic Team’s legendary studio head, Takashi Iizuka
- On-stage competitions with prizes to win
- Meet-and-greet sessions with Sonic the Hedgehog himself
- Special guest appearances from influencers on the main stage
- Custom Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds photo ops to capture the moment
With CrossWorlds already one of the most anticipated Sonic titles in years, Gamescom 2025 is shaping up to be a landmark showcase for the Blue Blur’s next big racing adventure.
