Sonic’s ice cream bar, with its slightly off-model face and gumball eyes, has been a summertime staple and a meme for decades. Shadow the Hedgehog never had one of his own, but that hasn’t stopped SEGA from giving the Ultimate Lifeform a “frozen treat” in the form of an oversized novelty plush.
This new 18-inch plush takes the concept of Sonic’s ice cream bar and applies it to Shadow, complete with red “gumball” eyes, stylized chocolate coating, and a wrapper styled like classic ice cream packaging. While there has never been an actual Shadow ice cream bar, the design leans into the humor, making it a perfect companion for Sonic’s plush ice cream bar released earlier.
Adding to the fun, the plush even features a built-in dark chocolate scent. There is no telling how long the aroma will last, but it’s a fitting extra for fans who enjoy unique collectibles.
The Shadow ice cream plush is a GameStop exclusive, priced at $44.99, and is scheduled to release on September 26, 2025. While the real frozen snack never existed, this plush brings the “what if” to life for fans and collectors.
