Limited Run Games has announced a delay in the production of the Sonic X Shadow Generations Collector’s Edition, informing fans via email that more time is needed to perfect the included statue. The update comes nearly a year after pre-orders for the set originally opened.

“To all of our favorite Sonic and Shadow fans, we wanted to share that we’re going to take some additional time to perfect the statue for this amazing Collector’s Edition,” the company wrote. “Some of you have already received your copy of Sonic X Shadow Generations, but for those of you who haven’t, we’ll be shipping your copies now so you don’t have to wait any longer to play the game! We truly appreciate everyone’s support and patience as we make this edition the best it can be!”
While the game itself is now beginning to ship to buyers separately, the delay of the centerpiece Dreamcast-inspired statue has left many fans frustrated. The Collector’s Edition was promoted as a premium package, featuring a detailed diorama of Sonic and Shadow on top of the iconic console, a Deluxe Art Book, Original Soundtrack CD, Chao mini figurines, a Sonic, Shadow, and Classic Sonic shoes keychain, and other collectibles.
With no revised delivery window confirmed for the statue, customers are once again left waiting for a product they were promised nearly a year ago. As Limited Run Games continues to struggle with fulfillment timelines, fans are voicing growing concerns about transparency and reliability.
