SEGA has released the official opening movie and theme song for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, giving fans a first look at the game’s high-energy vibe ahead of its worldwide launch on September 25, 2025. The featured track, titled “Sonic Racing – Cross the Worlds – (Opening ver.)”, is performed by James Bourne of Busted and composed by Takahiro Kai.

The opening animation showcases Sonic and friends racing through a variety of colorful and dynamic environments, highlighting the game’s competitive gameplay and expansive crossover theme. The full cinematic is now available to watch on YouTube:

In addition to the video release, SEGA has begun rolling out the theme song on streaming platforms. Fans can enjoy the track ahead of launch day while counting down to the arrival of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
