Two new 2.5″ Sonic Playsets by JAKKS Toys have been discovered: Stardust Speedway Zone and The Death Egg. It is currently unknown when these sets will be released.
Stardust Speedway Zone, which first appeared in Sonic CD, is known for its futuristic, neon-lit cityscape and fast-paced race against Metal Sonic. It will be interesting to see how JAKKS Toys incorporates this iconic level into their playset.
Meanwhile, The Death Egg has long been a staple of the Sonic franchise, appearing in multiple games as the lair of Sonic’s arch-nemesis, Dr. Eggman. It’s unclear whether JAKKS Toys will include any mini-figures of the villainous doctor or his robot minions in this playset, but we are certainly hoping for it.
JAKKS Toys has previously released Sonic the Hedgehog 2.5″ action figures and playsets, which have been popular among collectors and fans of the franchise. These new additions to the line are sure to be just as popular, especially given the level of detail and attention that JAKKS Toys has put into their previous releases.
As of now, there is no official release date or information about what figures or accessories will be included in these playsets.
