SEGA has released an updated roadmap for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, outlining what is coming next following the game’s latest major update.
The next big release is the Mega Man DLC, now confirmed to launch next week. After that, three previously announced free racers will roll out across April and May, continuing the steady stream of post-launch content.
Looking further ahead, Q3 2026 is set to bring more crossover content. Collaborations with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Avatar are still on track, alongside another batch of three free racers.

Alongside the roadmap update, SEGA has also refreshed the game’s demo on select platforms starting March 19. The update adds Extreme Gear machines, bringing the total number of vehicles in the demo up to 15 and allowing players to try Sonic Riders-inspired gear in both Grand Prix and Time Trial modes.

The demo currently includes four playable characters, eight courses, and twenty Gadgets. Progress carries over to the full game, although Time Trial results will not transfer to leaderboards.
There is one limitation for Nintendo players. While a demo is listed for the Switch 2 version, it currently mirrors the original Switch version and does not include the new Extreme Gear content. SEGA has not confirmed whether an updated version will be released for Nintendo platforms.
The demo remains offline only, with no online or local multiplayer support.
With a major gameplay update already live and new DLC arriving soon, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds continues to expand its roster and content lineup with regular updates and crossover additions.
