SEGA has officially announced a new competitive creator tournament for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds titled the “CrossWorlds Cup”. The event will bring together invited content creators to compete in a multi stage racing championship with cash prizes on the line.

The CrossWorlds Cup is scheduled to take place on Friday, December 19 2025, starting at 1:00 PM PT. Fans will be able to watch the full tournament live on the official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitch channel.

A total of twelve content creators will participate in the event, including Agent 00, CONEY, RealKatieB and Caroline Kwan. Competitors will race across sixteen courses, with each track featured once during the tournament.

The format is a points based championship with no eliminations during the event. First place in each race earns 15 points, with points awarded down the standings. At the end of the tournament, the creator with the highest overall score will be crowned the winner.

The event is expected to run for approximately three to four hours. Alongside the main championship, a separate Time Trials bonus competition will also take place.

Prize money for the CrossWorlds Cup is as follows:

  • First place receives 12,000 USD
  • Second place receives 5,000 USD
  • Third place receives 1,500 USD
  • Time Trials bonus winner receives 1,500 USD

The CrossWorlds Cup represents another step in SEGA’s ongoing support of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds following its recent launch, highlighting the game’s competitive potential while connecting creators and fans through a live event.
