PAC-MAN and SEGA Team Up in PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC Sonic Collaboration Set, Available Now

Bandai Namco Entertainment has officially released the long-awaited Sonic the Hedgehog Collaboration Set for PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC, marking a major crossover between two of gaming’s most iconic characters. The DLC is available worldwide for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

The collaboration adds three brand-new stages inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog, complete with signature gameplay elements such as loop-de-loops, dash rings, and springs that bring the fast-paced feel of Green Hill Zone into PAC-MAN’s universe. The new area, called South Pac-Island, lets players race through vibrant landscapes, grind rails at high speed, and battle classic Sonic enemies like Moto Bug, Buzz Bomber, and Dr. Eggman. The adventure culminates in a boss fight where Sonic himself makes a surprise appearance to help with his trademark spin dash.

The DLC also includes:

20 collectible Sonic figures featuring Sonic, Tails, Shadow, and more for decorating Pac-Village
A Sonic-themed costume where PAC-MAN sports Sonic’s blue spikes, white gloves, and red shoes
New customization items and in-game rewards celebrating SEGA’s legendary mascot

To celebrate the release, Bandai Namco Japan will host a special event titled “Let’s All Watch PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC Together!” featuring live gameplay sessions by comedians, streamers, and influencers including Fusuuya, ZETA DIVISION’s Tea, and Cosmo Kamizuru from vα-liv. The broadcasts will highlight co-op gameplay, PAC-MAN Night Mode, and the new Sonic content starting November 14, 2025.

Originally released in 2002, PAC-MAN WORLD 2 returns as a full remake featuring enhanced visuals, new mechanics, voice acting, and two-player local co-op. The remake invites players to rediscover PAC-MAN’s journey to recover the stolen Golden Fruit and restore peace to Pac-Land.

The Sonic the Hedgehog Collaboration Set DLC and the Deluxe Edition (which includes the base game and DLC) are available now on all platforms. Buyers will also receive a special Legendary Pac-Land Outfit as an exclusive bonus costume.
