SEGA has announced that Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is adding another free guest character next week. Revealed during a recent Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio live stream, Ichiban Kasuga from the Yakuza: Like A Dragon series will officially join the roster on November 6, 2025, with a special Ichiban Festival event running from November 7 to November 10, 2025.
Gameplay footage of Ichiban can be seen between the 6 and 13 minute mark in the live stream, showcasing his signature flair and personality on the track. He follows the recent addition of Joker from the Persona series as a free playable racer, as well as the paid DLC characters from Minecraft, Steve, Alex, and Creeper, which also introduced a new themed course.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds continues to expand its crossover lineup with major SEGA and third-party collaborations, bringing fan-favorite characters from across gaming into its high-speed races.
The game is currently available on all major platforms, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version scheduled to launch later this year.
