SEGA has unveiled a major new crossover for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds at gamescom 2025. PAC-MAN and his ghost rivals are joining the roster through the Season Pass, complete with a course inspired by both his arcade origins and modern adventures.
The reveal came with a brand-new trailer, giving you a first look at the Bandai Namco legend racing alongside Sonic and crew.
SEGA also announced an Open Network Test running from Friday, August 29 through Monday, September 1. You’ll be able to join the test for free on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, giving you an early chance to experience the game’s high-speed action.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds launches on September 25, 2025, in both Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions. The Digital Deluxe Edition adds even more crossover content, featuring characters from Sonic Prime, SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Avatar, Minecraft, and now PAC-MAN. Pre-ordering either edition also unlocks Sonic the Werehog with an exclusive vehicle and decal.
