Today, SEGA announced that internationally renowned artist, Romero Britto, will be joining SEGA at Licensing Expo in Las Vegas this month. Britto will be at the SEGA booth (O226) on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 4 – 5 PM PT, available to meet with fans and showcase his iconic artwork.

Last month, the “Be happy! ROMERO BRITTO Exhibition in Japan” was held in Tokyo, featuring over 100 new paintings and prints by Britto and unveiled for the first time in the world, the collaboration between Britto and SEGA’s iconic character, Sonic the Hedgehog. The collaboration was highly praised as Britto was able to capture the energetic spirit of Sonic through his use of bold, vibrant colors and pop art style.

“Collaborating with the exceptionally gifted artist, Romero Britto, has been nothing short of extraordinary” said Shuji Utsumi, President and COO of SEGA CORPORATION. “His mastery of vibrant hues and distinctive style impeccably encapsulated the essence of everything we cherish about Sonic.”

Fans of both Sonic the Hedgehog and Romero Britto can look forward to more collaborations down the line, including a line of merchandise, collectibles and fine art with SEGA.

“Just like SEGA has brought so much fun to the world through games like Sonic, Britto has a mission to inspire happiness through his iconic and vibrant artworks either on canvas or on consumer goods that enable his positive message to reach a wider audience”, adds the global CEO of the BRITTO Group, Lucas Vidal.
