It looks like the Sonic Superstars Cel-Shaded skins aren’t exclusive to Japan after all! The initial announcement of these skins brought both excitement and disappointment, as they appeared to be Japanese exclusive pre-order bonuses. However, it turns out that’s not entirely the case. You can also obtain them by redeeming them as prizes from Kroger, an American retail company that operates supermarkets and multi-department stores throughout the United States.

Here’s how you can get the download codes:

  • Sign up on http://pointsrewardsplus.com
  • Sign up for a Kroger account
  • The page will tell you about some games you can play to collect points
  • When you die in the game, spin a wheel to get a select amount of points
  • When you have enough points (1650), click on “Redeem Points” and search for Sonic Superstars

UPDATE: As of this latest update, points are no longer earned through playing games. Instead, you’ll need to purchase products from participating brands available at Kroger and enter their codes on the website to redeem your points. Please keep this in mind when participating in the promotion. If there are any further changes or updates, we’ll be sure to provide you with the latest information.

It’s worth noting that these codes are exclusively for the console versions of Sonic Superstars. As for whether these codes will become available in other regions or for the PC version of the game or through other means, there’s no official word yet. However, you can rely on us to keep you updated on any developments in this regard. Be sure to subscribe to Sonic City for more Sonic Superstars news and updates!

I registered and played some of the games, but I didn’t receive any wheel to spin.
    Am I doing something wrong?

I’m not living in the US, so I don’t have any Kroger near me.
What codes are they referring to?
Barcodes on the products or codes on a receipt?

      Whoops.
Turns out they’re back, it was probably some loading issue.
